The most alien place they voyaged was back home again.
The five-member crew of The Dauntless traveled for hundreds of years on mankind’s first interstellar expedition. All they found was a dead planet that had never known life. Then, they returned home to a world they barely recognized, which is when their adventures truly began.
Our planet was full of technological sophistication, but ruled by one supreme king and the mysterious beings known as the Purnarkat. The crew struggled to decide if they should submit to that rule, or battle to overturn the very foundations of that society.
Their physical pilgrimage became a spiritual one, as they questioned their own assumptions as to the meaning of freedom, of good and of evil, even as the society around them wrestled with the emergence of an ancient darkness.
