Sheridan Ridler was a master painter, brilliant but selfish, until an attempted murder plunged him into the Harlem River.

Faceless art. A tortured painter. Out of death, a quest for Glory.

Sheridan Ridler was a master painter, brilliant but selfish. Wrapped in pride, he believed there was no image he could not capture on canvas. That is until an attempted murder plunged him into the Harlem River.

For several minutes, Ridler’s heart stopped. While he lay dead, he saw beauty. For the next twenty-five years he wandered the globe trying to capture on canvas what he had seen.

His journey took him to many countries where he explored various religions in an effort to remember the Glory he saw on the bank of the Harlem River. However, when word spread that this talented artist might still be alive, his daughter Gemma began an active search for him. But she was not the only one who wanted to find him — so did the man who thought he had killed Ridler twenty-five years ago. Now he intended to succeed.

Opposite of Art is not a good book. It’s an awesome book! Way more then the description tells and with Athol’s pen behind it, it’s deep and though provoking.  It’s a must-read.
