Keight’s fabulous. Her mental-health startup, WellSpring, is treating PTSD for the Department of Veterans Affairs. With an influx of cash, she needs the computing power, and her ex-husband Ed has not yet fairly split the assets.

Clark’s a well-meaning programmer at WellSpring, trying to hit deadlines when he stumbles upon ways to boost his brain to unnatural levels. But is it an extension of his mind, a tool of it, or another intellect?
