Merry Christmas season and/or Advent!

Stephen here. I’m the Lorehaven publisher (as well as ACE author).

Yes, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve sent out a new Lorehaven update.

Why? Ah, you know, been really busy for reasons I can’t say …

(No, really. I can’t say.)

Yet this seemed a great time for a fun announcement. We just heard that our ol’ friends at the classic Christian-made audio drama “Adventures in Odyssey” are going to the movies. This morning they posted a full video about it.

That’s when my friend Zack messaged me: “Let’s do a Twitter Space … Friday about the AIO announcement.”

We have been hoping to do Spaces—basically a live audio stream, like an old AM radio talk show on X.com (formerly Twitter).

Click below to pre-join the Space and set a reminder for tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. EST!

Personally, I’ve been a fan of Odyssey since childhood. More recently have Zack and his family entered and loved this world of small-town Americana, in which Christian/inventor/scholar John Avery Whittaker runs an ice-cream emporium unlike any other.

Lorehaven has also previously hosted AiO co-creator Phil Lollar on our podcast. (Twice. We had Phil on the podcast twice.)

So although Focus on the Family is not our sponsor, Lorehaven shall remain a part-time Adventures in Odyssey stan site.

Here’s a glimpse of our top questions …

  1. Will the original Odyssey audio voice actors return, such as Andre Stokja as the third voice of Mr. Whittaker?
  2. Is the film 3D animated, as the stills seem to reveal? Or will the film bear that classic John Pomeroy/Bluth 2D look?
  3. Despite the show’s increasing “Brigadoon” approach to history (per Lollar’s comparisons), will this film be set in the 1980s?
  4. If our heroes are John Avery Whittaker (younger), Jenny Whittaker (still alive), and Jason Whittaker, who else may appear?
  5. Who is distributing the film to theaters? Which studio is handling the animation? Why that title Journey into the Impossible?

Bring your hot takes but be prepared for some cool confections from the discover emporium, tomorrow, eXclusively in the X space.

Meanwhile, speaking of surprising time shifts, don’t miss these new stories at Lorehaven.com:

And keep an ear out for next week’s podcast episode about the twenty-year anniversary of the film Narnia theatrical film.

Wishing you a time of wonder, excitement, and discovery,

Stephen
