DYNTEC officially stood for Dynamic National Technologies, Incorporated; but the name had long since ceased to be an acronym.

They were the heroic agents whose duty was to preserve and protect the Settlement, the last refuge of humanity on Earth.

All nations were gathered into the Settlement, until none remained to trouble Gaia. But many years ago, DYNTEC encountered the same problem faced by Alex’s namesake: no more worlds to conquer.

Until now.

Alex is a restless new agent who has spent her life being dragged down the path of least resistance and failing her way to the top. When she’s assigned to take down a primitive religious cult clinging to life outside the Settlement Wall, she will find a world that challenges everything she thinks she knows.
