E. Stephen Burnett creates sci-fi and fantasy novels as well as nonfiction, exploring fantastical stories for God’s glory as publisher of Lorehaven.com and cohost of the Fantastical Truth podcast. As the oldest of six, he enjoys connecting with his homeschool roots by speaking at conferences for Christian families and creators. Stephen is coauthor of The Pop Culture Parent: Helping Kids Engage Their World for Christ from New Growth Press (2020, with Ted Turnau and Dr. Jared Moore). Stephen and his wife, Lacy, live in the Austin area, where they help with foster parenting and serve as members of Southern Hills Baptist Church.

Parker J. Cole is an author, speaker, and radio show host with a fanatical obsession with the Lord, Star Trek, K-dramas, anime, romance books, old movies, speculative fiction, and knitting. Elijah David lives and works in the Chattanooga area. He spends far too many nights reading when he should be sleeping and frequently finds his bookshelves have shrunk overnight. He is the author of Albion Academy, the first book in the Albion Quartet, and Paper and Thorns, the first novella in the Princes Never Prosper series. Though his only magical talent is putting pen to paper, Elijah believes magic lurks around every corner, if you only know how to look for it. He and his wife are busy raising a small Hobbit and a calico cat.


Josiah DeGraaf is a high school English teacher and literature nerd who fell in love with stories when he was young and hasn’t fallen out of love ever since. He loves writing novels that explore what it means to make the right choices in difficult (and fantastic!) situations. In addition to writing at Lorehaven, he also serves as the editor-in-chief of Story Embers and publishes short stories on his website.


Marian Jacobs writes about Jesus, monsters, and spaceships. Her work is featured at Desiring God as well as Stage and Story. She and her family live in Palm Springs, California.


L. G. McCary is an old-school Whovian and a lifelong Trekkie. She has a bachelor's in psychology which means she knows enough to mess with readers' heads but not enough to diagnose their problems. She is the wife of an Army chaplain and the homeschooling mom of four rambunctious kids. She writes supernatural and dark science fiction on topics as diverse as artificial intelligence, ghosts, sentient snowmen, and space hotels. Her first novel, That Pale Host, released October 2021. Her short story, "Rendering," appears in Havok's Rebirth anthology.


Zackary Russell is a Fightin’ Texas Aggie and proud member of Generation X-Wing. After conquering the Oregon Trail, he traveled to Hyrule and the Island of Myst. His heart for the nations led him into a ministry for international students, where he works as a videographer. He writes science fiction, and is the producer and co-host of the Fantastical Truth podcast. He lives in Texas with his wife and four children. Shannon Stewart is a homeschooling mom of three and high school English teacher with an MA in English literature. She reads widely and voraciously, but her favorites are still books by and about C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien. Her other interests include video games, Anglo-Saxons, and all forms of cheese. Jessica is an introvert (INFJ) who loves books, music, movies, and chocolate. She reads many genres of fiction and nonfiction, but her favorites are fantasy, thrillers, Regency/historical romance, and romantic suspense. Jessica loves classic films, Marvel’s MCU (team Cap!), and the romantic comedies of the 1990s. She has a fascination with English history, and the culture of the 1940s—the fashion, the music, the history—and loves learning about the ancient history of Egypt and Israel. Avily Jerome is a writer and freelance editor. For five years she was editor of Havok Magazine (now Havok Publishing). Her short stories have been published in multiple magazines and anthologies. She has judged several short story and novel contests, and serves on the Lorehaven Review Team. Her novel, The Breeding, finaled in the 2019 Realm Awards for the supernatural/paranormal category as well as Book of the Year. The Breeding is followed by two sequels, The Possessing and The Haunting, as well as Swimmer, a Little Mermaid–inspired contemporary fantasy novel. She lives with her husband and five kids in the desert in Phoenix, Arizona. When she’s not writing, she loves reading and experimenting with different art forms.


Elizabeth Kaiser grew up in remote homesteads, "homeschooled before it was cool," having more animal friends then people friends. Her love of books opened the world's past and future to her, giving her passionate love for great tales containing truths, nuances, and inspiration about real life and our unique walks within life. R. J. Anderson is a preacher’s daughter, women’s Bible teacher, and the author of ten traditionally published fantasy novels for children and teens. Her fantasy novel Torch, book 3 of The Flight and Flame Trilogy series (Enclave Escape, February 2021).


Allen Brokken has been working in information technology for twenty-five years and has consulted with major corporations globally on future state technology strategies. He and his wife are veteran homeschoolers of their three children. Together they operate Towers of Light Christian resources that produced the middle-grade novel Still Small Voice which focuses on helping children see the importance of listening to their conscience in decisions big and small.


H. L. Burke is the author of multiple fantasy novels including the Supervillain Rehabilitation Project Series, the Realm Award winning Ultimate Nyssa Glass, the Spellsmith & Carver Steampunk series, and Spice Bringer. She currently resides in Oregon with her retired Marine husband, two supervillains in training who are her daughters, and a rather spoiled cat. She is an admirer of the whimsical, a follower of the Light, and a believer in happily ever after.


As content manager for attractions at Answers in Genesis, Tim Chaffey oversees research and writing of content used to develop and explain the many exhibits at both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. Chaffey joined Answers in Genesis in 2010 after serving many years as both a pastor and a science and Bible teacher.

L. Jagi Lamplighter is the author of the YA fantasy series The Books of Unexpected Enlightenment. Its third book was nominated for the YA Dragon Award in 2017. The fourth book won the first YA Ribbit Award, and the fifth book won the 2021 Helicon Award for Best Fantasy. She is also the author of the Prospero’s Daughter series: Prospero Lost, Prospero In Hell, andProspero Regained, as well as numerous articles and short stories. She also has an anthology of her own works, In the Lamplight, as well as edits and teaches writing.


Rebecca P. Minor can't help but tell stories, whether that's in the form of animation, illustration, novels, or really long retellings of weird things that happened when she was a carriage driver. Her favorite stories, however, involve dragons, elves, sword fights, and magic, all of which you'll find in her two fantasy series, The Windrider Saga and The Risen Age Archive. Rebecca is also the cofounder of Realm Makers, an annual symposium for people of faith who write science fiction and fantasy. Rebecca resides outside Philadelphia, PA with her husband and three sons, who have all happily bought into the geek pool alongside her.
